Three Things Before Opening Your Coffee Shop

Monday, May 31st, 2010

It’s more of a coffee company success to decide when, what type of coffee that you will serve. Do not get me wrong, some of your work in your company offers its customers a coffee growing around the experience that coffee is also tasty, but there is so much more to know. I think there are three essential steps to take before you begin your coffee. Come together.

First step – Do research. To learn more about starting a café. You can do this in a variety of different types. My favorite is to go to several cafes, with a cup of coffee and a bath in the experiment. By observing the dynamics of social and economic conditions. Watch that the affairs of its clients handled, what menu items they sell, this type of equipment they wear and so on. Some people decide to even find a job at a coffee existing restaurant, before their own.

The most obvious means of research you can do is read. You can learn a lot from the materials there. There are many resources to use. By choosing to read what I recommend you buy books specific to cafes, unpublished books re-start a restaurant. The differences between the two are of crucial importance. I recommend this book. You can also use a lot of good research on the Internet. Library research is sketchy. If you do research in the library, make sure the stock books in progress. There is a difference in the economy, the dynamics between the current and former cafes.

Step Two – develop an effective business plan. Note that I use the word “effective”, the preparation of a plan that covers all aspects of your organization saves a lot of money and grief in the future. There are two aspects to this business plan. The first thing is to research coffee business plan on the net, and in both books in your library or buy books in a place like Amazon. com. When we look through the bag of coffee shop business plans to try to understand what makes them successful or unsuccessful. Your success, or lack thereof can do much to sell you in planning for success.

Secondly, I would recommend using software like Business Plan Pro. require software such as Business Plan Pro specific relevant issues, start a business. Each question will help you develop your mind, look what your coffee and how they work. When you finish the software business plan you will receive a professional business plan, you can make your bank and give you something for you on target at each step of the road.

In reality, you’d better develop two different plans. The first is a basic structure, what you like and what steps to take you, if you passed (some call it a plan of action). This plan allows you to stay on track. There should be only one or two page to your office wall, remember to keep the matter will be recorded on tape.

The second type of plan plan that I mentioned to a software like Business Plan Pro. You will use this plan for achieving long-term and short-and share with some investors and bankers. Remember, try this one you plan to share with investors, shall be as positive and realistic. Some people are preparing a third document to investors or banks, an overview page with its mission statement and a brief view of their business plan to give. If you decide to go this way, they advanced short documents on the new document.

Step Three – Get legal. You save a lot of time later, with all your legal questions supported. You must first register your name with the state, obtained licenses and sales tax may be the creation of a society. This can be a difficult task. When I opened my business, I tried to do yourself. I hate this additional cost. Ultimately, I paid someone to manage the original forms for me. After my first service I no longer need to return to them because it is fairly easy to keep these forms for when you’re familiar with the process. You can spend lots of money for a lawyer or a CPA, but you could not get a good online service, things instead. In process, not just a person on the Internet all of your personal information. Instead, I recommend you research and with a company like LegalZoom. com. Be sure to visit Google, if they have complaints against them or to verify sources, such as the BBB.

Although you can not be helped by a lawyer or an accountant, set up your business forms, it is always a good idea, with a good lawyer and CPA familiar preparations for tax and legal issues that potential can come.

Develop a plan for disaster preparedness. That would be something like a short, and if a plan of action. Ask yourself what could go wrong and how I could get sued, then develop strategies to prevent such things. You also need insurance to get to this stage. Remember the “Hot Coffee action” a few years ago? There are some lessons to learn.
